Dr. Stavros Ristanis is an Orthopedic Surgeon, Lecturer in Orthopedics at the Medical School of European University of Cyprus (EUC) in Nicosia (Cyprus) and a Consultant at the Metropolitan Hospital in Athens, since June 2015. He is the Head of Medical Staff of PAS Giannina (Greek SuperLeague).
He graduated from the Medical School of University of Ioannina in 2001. He completed his specialty in Orthopedic Surgery in June 2012 at the University Hospital of Ioannina. He prepared his doctoral dissertation at the Medical School of University of Ioannina and was awarded a Doctorate with "Excellent" in 2009.

He specialized in: a) Knee surgery - Fellowship at the Epworth Hospital, Melbourne, Australia (2012-2013) b) Foot & Ankle Surgery – Fellowship with emphasis on MIS Foot Surgery at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne (2013-2014) and c) Orthopaedic Trauma – Senior Fellowship at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne (2014-2015). In 2015 he returned to Greece and now works as an Orthopaedic Consultant at the Metropolitan Hospital in Athens and maintains a private practice in Ioannina.
