GENERAL INFORMATION
I was born on 14/10/1963 and I graduated from the Medical Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) in July 1989. I acquired the Specialty of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 1996.

EDUCATION – MEDICAL CAREER
I was trained in Orthopaedics in Greece and was trained abroad with the "G. Noulis" scholarship of the Hellenic Society of Surgical Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EEXOT) and the University of Heidelberg, at the ATOS Sport Clinic as well as with other postgraduate visits to centers and hospitals in Europe and America. Then, for a period of about 10 years, I worked as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon in the private sector and the NHS.

ACADEMIC CAREER
From May 2007 until today I have been serving at the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), evolving in the various ranks of professor, practicing at the same time as a Clinical Surgeon of the University Orthopaedic Clinic of the University Orthopaedic Clinic at the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis. Since December 2017 I have been serving in the position of Associate Professor of Orthopaedics. Fields of particular interest are sports injuries of the musculoskeletal system, reconstructive joint surgery and traumatology. My total clinical experience time is about 30 years.

EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC WORK
I have an educational work at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have participated as a speaker in many Seminars, Conferences, Postgraduate Program and other educational events (invited speaker in more than 130 official scientific events).
My Research-Writing work (in addition to PHD ) concerns (85) eighty-five publications. Sixty (60) of these are foreign languages (full articles) after a PubMed crisis.
I have authored (10) ten chapters in books and I have participated with other authors with more than 140 oral and posters in many International and Greek conferences.
The range of the total Impact Factor of the journals I have published is 29.65, the RG Score is 29.30, while my research work has received in various search libraries (Scopus, ResearchGate or Google) over 1300 citations to date. The HIRSCH index (h index) is 17(Scopus), 18 (ResearchGate) or 22(Google).
I have also been involved in the organisation of many training seminars and other scientific events, as well as in other committees.

I am an active member in many scientific societies (ESSKA, ISAKOS EAE, EEXOT, KEOX, OTEMATH) I have been selected as a reviewer of papers in 3 internationally recognized journals.
