Alexandros Tzaveas is Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in open and arthroscopic hip surgery.
His runs his private practice for more than ten years in Thessaloniki, Greece.
He operates in private hospitals in Thessaloniki and Athens and he is In-charge of Hip Arthroscopy of the 3d Orthopaedic Department at Interbalkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki.
He accepts referrals for patients with special hip problems from all over Greece and Cyprus. He performs more than 100 open and arthroscopic hip procedures every year. He is MSc and PhD holder of the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki.
Alexandros Tzaveas was trained in General Orthopaedics in Greece and United Kingdom.
He has conducted research in the area of hip arthroscopy and published several studies, papers and book chapters in foreign literature. He is member of the Richard Villar School of Hip Arthroscopy in United Kingdom and participates as trainer in cadaveric hip arthroscopic courses. He is very active in scientific meetings and participates as invited speaker for the area of hip arthroscopy.
He is member of the Editorial Board of Arthroscopy Journal (American Arthroscopic Association) for hip arthroscopy. He is Special Secretary of the Hellenic Arthroscopic Association.
