Present Working Status:
He is working as an Orthopaedic Consultan in the Orthopaedic Department of the General Hospital of Arta, Greece. During this time, he participating regularly in the schedule of duties and in the training of the resident doctors of the clinic, while he also exhibiting scientific work by publication of papers with incidents of the clinic

 

Experience:
1. From 30/12/1996 to 2/2/1998, he worked as a Rural Community Doctor at the Regional Community Clinic of Korfovouni and, at the same time, on detachment, as an assistant in the Orthopaedic Department of the General Hospital of Arta. During this particular period, he was on duty as an assistant in the General Surgery Department of the General Hospital of Arta.
2. From 2/2/1998 to 1/2/1999, he worked in the General.Hospital of Arta as an assistant in the General Surgery Department and from 2/2/1999 to 20/9/1999, he served at the same hospital, on detachment, as an assistant in the Orthopaedic Department. During those 3 years as assistant in the Orthopaedic Department, he took part, in total, in 250 surgical (orthopaedic) operations as 1st Surgeon and in 716 operations as an assistant.
3. From 23/1/2001 to 23/1/2006, he worked as an assistant in the Orthopaedic Department of the University Hospital of Ioannina. Within the framework of training in the University Department of Ioannina, he was also trained in Pediatric Orthopaedics (since at the time there was a separate Pediatric Department) under the leadership of Pr. A. Beris, in a Scoliosis Unit, under the leadership of Prof. P.N.Soukakos, in a Sports Injuries department, under the leadership of Prof. A.Georgoulis, as well as in a hand-microsurgery department, under the leadership of Prof. A.Beris. During the 5 years that he was trained in the Orthopaedic Department of the University of Ioannina, he took part in 328 operations as 1st Surgeon and in 972 as Assistant, while at the same time, he participated in almost all the scientific events of the Department (organising seminars, conferences, and meetings).
4. From 9/3/2006 to 8/3/2007, he worked as a Clinical Fellow in ATOS clinik (Center for Knee, Foot and Sports Medicine Surgery) Heidelberg, Germany, within the framework of the Scholarship Georgios Noulis, granted by the University Orthopaedic Department A of the University of Athens and the Orthopaedic Department of the University of Ioannina, under the leadership of Pr. Hans Paessler and Pr. Hajo Thermann. During that time, he took part in 255 surgical operations as 1st Surgeon and in 445 as assistant. Moreover, besides the other activities of the clinic, he was further trained in the application of Ultrasounds and MRI on diseases of the Knee, Ankle and the Foot. It is worth mentioning that the particular Department is an acknowledged Training Centre of ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) and also Training Centre of ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy).
5. From 16/5/2008 up to now, he is working as an Orthopaedic Consultant (Tutor B’) in the General Hospital of Arta.
In addition, hee took part in mostly cadaveric operations and new techniques, mainly in the field that he specialized in and those are the following:
